What we take down

Backyard structures, gone in a day

If it is freestanding, non-structural and in your yard, it is almost certainly on this list. Times below are typical for an average-sized structure with clear access.

Sheds & outbuildings

Wood or metal, on a slab or on skids. Rotting, leaning, or just in the way of the new one. Taken apart, loaded and gone.

Decks & porches

Ground-level and raised decks, stairs, railings and the framing underneath. Footings pulled where we can get to them.

Typically 4–8 hours

Hot tubs & spas

Drained, cut down and hauled — including the surround and the pad debris. The one nobody has filled in four years.

Fences

Wood, chain link and vinyl. Panels, posts and concrete footings, whole runs or a storm-damaged section.

Playsets & trampolines

Swing sets, wooden forts, trampolines and basketball hoops. Dismantled safely and cleared off the lawn.

Pergolas, gazebos & carports

Freestanding backyard structures taken down in one visit, with the slab debris hauled if there is any.

Above-ground pools

Drained, cut apart and removed, with the liner, frame and surround decking cleared together.

Interior strip-outs

Non-structural only — old cabinets, countertops, vanities, flooring, tile and closet build-ins pulled and hauled.

How a teardown runs

Same four steps as a haul, with one extra: we look at access before we quote, because a deck behind a locked gate is a different job to one off the driveway.

What we do not take on

We are a light demolition crew, not a structural contractor. Being straight about the line saves everyone a wasted visit — and if your job is on this list we will tell you who to call instead.

How demolition is priced

Teardowns are quoted on site rather than off the volume sheet, because labour and access drive the cost more than the size of the pile. The quote is still free, still fixed before we start, and it always includes the hauling — you never get a separate disposal bill.

Straight answers

Do I need a permit?
For most backyard structures — sheds under your city's size threshold, decks, fences, hot tubs, playsets — no. Some cities do require one for larger sheds or anything on a permanent foundation. Tell us your city when you book and we will flag it before we roll rather than after.
Will you damage my lawn or fence?
We dismantle rather than demolish wherever it is practical, which keeps the mess contained. Where we need to bring equipment across grass we lay boards. Anything we do damage, we tell you about and put right.
Do you take the concrete footings too?
Usually yes — deck footings and fence post concrete come out with the structure where we can reach them. Large slabs and anything needing a jackhammer or excavator is outside what we do, and we will say so up front.
Is the hauling included?
Always. That is the whole point of using one crew — the quote covers taking it down, loading it, hauling it and disposing of it. There is no second invoice from a hauling company afterwards.
How fast can you get here?
Teardowns need a booked slot rather than a same-hour response, because they take most of a day. In practice that usually means within a few days — and we work weekends, so it does not have to eat your working week.
